Hi guys~

This is a minor thing, but I noticed it and it's *there*, so I may as well ask about it. Does DW use the "Tier" function in support requests? I checked several on the board, and none of them were anything but tier-0. (It was introduced on LJ not long before the forking for internal statistics purposes, to classify how severe a request is.)

So I guess my question is twofold: if it's not in use, can we make it useful? and if not, can we get rid of it in the backend? :)

Thanks!

We are not using it!

Never having done LJ support, I don't know exactly how they used it over there. We could certainly brainstorm potential uses, but I also wouldn't be opposed to getting rid of it, if we need to clean up the code.

We've got a bug open to redo the support system entirely (since it's, uh, showing its age let's just say) so no, we're not using it and I doubt we ever will. I would not be opposed to opening a bug to get rid of it; I just haven't yet!

Just disable support_response_tier in config-local.pl

Eh, if we're not going to use it, policy is that we remove it from the code. I don't want to keep things around just because.

I was assuming actual removal could be deferred until we overhaul support.
