Crossposting, other errors, importe

We're getting a lot of XMLRPC errors when crossposting to LiveJournal. Usually that means that LJ is having connectivity issues. I've updated the BBB, and alerted Mark etc (just in case it's actually an issue on our end, which is unlikely).

There are also some reports of non-persistant 403 and 503 errors. They should clear on refresh. The bossen are also aware of this, and there's at least one theoretical solution to the problem at this time.

Finally, with this latest code push, Fu is hopeful that some of the importer issues may have been resolved. I would really appreciate it if someone (or multiple someones) went through and asked the importer req people to retry again. If you're able to approve your own answers, do so on those. If not, then Dom, Chemla, or I will get to them sometime soon.

LJ has three requests (in English) about xmlrpc not working. None have been answered yet.

Ok two of the requests were made private so I can't tell what was said and the only one still public is the one mentioning specifically dreamwidth crossposting failing (the other ones just mentioned issues with the interface) and hasn't been answered yet. Status says LJ's running slow. Don't know if that's related. My crosspost went through this time though so it looks like it could be resolved.

Edit: spoke too soon. Second attempt required a second try. Still it went through. :)

Hey Kat,

I wanted to drop this here rather than another support request. Like others, I've been getting the 403 report. Most often I get it on a reading page or an icons page, and it's consistently followed by me switching from one username to another in an addon like ljlogin. Might want to check and see if there's any crossover with other users and those circumstances.
