import issues and other stuff

Hey folks,

As I'm sure you've noticed, we're having some issues with the importer. What I'd really appreciate is if you could take a look at the open reqs, and see if you can find patterns. Maybe "user has dated out of order entry" or "has over X# of entries/comments." If you see a pattern, comment on it here with some links.

Also, there's a code push tonight, so if you see something, please report it.

Finally, expect this comm to be a little more active soon. I'm working on a project with some Support volunteers, and we'll be doing a lot of the chatter in here. Feel free to chime in!

All I've noticed is that most of these report the import worked with everything else, only comments were missing.

Most are communities, and/or journals with high numbers of comments, usually at least 1,000+ if they mentioned the number or if I was able to find it.

You mean all the requests about importing comments from InsaneJournal? Because to me that's the common factor.

Most of them, though I did notice at least one said they were coming from LiveJournal instead.
