Hello!

The spectacular [personal profile] fu is working on a new answer submitting interface! Since it will probably be live at some point soon (24 hours, ish), I thought I'd give you a heads up.

The big thing you'll notice (if you have support-makeinternal) is that there will be two text boxes. One will allow you to submit screened answers and comments. The other will only submit internal comments.

Going forward, I'd like to see more comments about why you're answering the thing the way you're answering it. Seeing your logic will make it easier to help the user if they regreen, especially with the tricky issues we've been seeing lately. You don't have to, but it would be helpful!

There are some other minor changes (getting rid of the "clear" button, for one!), but that one above is the biggie.

If you run into any issues, please leave a comment on this page. Similarly, if you have any feedback, please leave it here. This is certainly not the final form for this page, but it's a first step.

Best,
Kat

Awesome! Just noting that the second box displays a little oddly for me (the second box is bigger than the first one and things are aligned differently and the border goes over the box side on the right).

And a question: I see the post button is all the way down after the IC box. Does that mean we need to make ICs all the time? Also can we post both answer and IC at the same time?

Thanks for the clarifications and for asking for a quick submit button. It's made transitioning from the old page to the new even easier.
