sporky_rat: A Dreamsheep dreaming of DW Support (_support)

What is the general procedure on the support requests that involve renaming or wrongly sourced feeds? A couple of requests have come up and I didn't know whether to leave it alone and let a higher-up with privs move it or if I should just create a new feed with the correct name/source and pop it up there for them.

Any answers at all would be greatly welcomed.

To expand on what Kat said, preferred procedure is leave them alone. If you want to do a bit of investigation, you can look up what the new feed source should be if the user didn't provide it; you could also do a pre-emptive check to see if the new source already exists (sometimes it does, if another unrelated user already added it). In that case what you want to do is let the user know that the source they want is already a different feed.

We prefer if you don't create the new one, since it is possible for MrsJ to edit a feed URL or name, but it's not possible to merge two feeds which really should be one (there is a bug for it, though).
